A life of leadership and lessons
Legacy in Private Aviation
Long before private aviation became a symbol of status and efficiency, Wayne J. Rizzi was quietly shaping its future.
As the founder and CEO of Air Royale International, established in 1994, Wayne transformed private jet travel from a transaction into an experience that blended personalized service with global reach.
Under his leadership, Air Royale became a model for the modern charter brokerage. Its focus on transparency, client experience, and exceptional service redefined what true luxury travel could be.
Wayne always viewed his success as a shared accomplishment. He credits his family, his team, and the many partners who helped build Air Royale’s reputation for professionalism and integrity. What began as a small group of dreamers in California grew into an internationally recognized brand that set new standards across the industry.
His leadership and forward-thinking approach were featured in Forbes, Haute Living, Robb Report, and Leaders Magazine, each highlighting his role in bringing creativity, accountability, and humanity to private aviation.

The Measure of Leadership
Wayne believes leadership isn’t about never making mistakes — it’s about how one responds to them.
In 2008, during one of the most difficult financial periods following the global recession, Wayne faced a serious challenge as the head of Air Royale. The company, like many others in aviation, was under extreme pressure to stay afloat. In prioritizing his employees, clients, and vendors, certain tax obligations were deferred. It was a decision made out of loyalty to people, though it ultimately placed him in conflict with the system.
When the company regained its footing after the recession, Wayne did not hide or deflect. He engaged one of the country’s most respected forensic accounting and legal firms, voluntarily amended filings, and took full responsibility. Though his good-faith efforts were ultimately not accepted by the government, he met the outcome with honesty, dignity, and grace.
That experience marked a profound shift in his life. It tested his values, but it also revealed his strength. He emerged with a deeper understanding of integrity, resilience, and humility. Rather than define him, the moment refined him.
Life Today
After his time with Air Royale, Wayne continued to innovate through Private Jetaway, a firm known for its ultra-luxury private jet and retreat experiences.
Today, Wayne lives a purposeful and balanced life centered on mentorship, giving, and personal growth. He dedicates time to guiding young entrepreneurs, helping them navigate challenges with integrity and vision.
His commitment to service extends beyond business. He supports organizations such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The Cancer Research Institute, ASPCA, World Wildlife Fund, Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, USO (United Service Organizations) and the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission. His philanthropy centers on compassion — helping children, supporting cancer research, caring for animals, standing with those who serve, and giving anyone in need a real second chance.
These causes reflect the man he has become — one defined not only by success, but by grace, accountability, and the wisdom earned through experience.

A Note from Wayne
“Life doesn’t hand out perfect chapters. It gives you the ones you need. Some brighten you, some break you open, but all of them grow you. I’m thankful for the lessons, the people who’ve walked with me along the way, and the simple, full life I get to share with those who give it meaning.”
